Nieya creates and performs works that invoke thought about the social, racial and psychological state of our society today while emphasizing vulnerability and authenticity.

In 2023 Nieya founded Amez Dance to be a hub of artistic experimentation that pushes the boundaries of art and how it can develop our community by unifying artists and prompting thought provoking reflection of our society. Amez Dance also prioritizes doing its part to advance equity in the arts by including under-represented perspectives in America’s dance forms. The company strives to create an environment that fosters mutual respect and encouragement for all so the dance community is used as an avenue of change for the broader community.
